Cassidy's Blog #3

So, I've had another AMAZING day! Well, only amazing because of band. In band, after playing a couple of lines, I was praised. You see, there are only three trumpets (counting me) in my class, two of which they suck. So Mr. Arnold said, "I think the most mature sound in here out of EVERYONE is. . .Cassidy." and it was so surprising. I don't mean to sound conceited, but it kind of wasn't a surprise. He made me head of the trumpets and told me to tell them what to do and crap, then he said that next year I could get into All District, which is amazing, and he kept doting on me. I'm blushing, but I feel so conceited because I know it's true. But I feel bad for my friend Breanna because she plays flute, and next year in Symphonic Band, there can only be six flutes, 2 of which are moving to the high school next year. So if all the 4 7th grade flute players stay in Symphonic Band, only 2 from Beginning Band won't end up in Concert Band. (the loser band) And there's about 10 flutes in both beginning bands, so it's like war for the flutes >.< Me, I'm good. I'm the best trumpet player out of both bands, not being vain or anything. So I'm pretty content.
